Just watched the vid again, looks like you had a bit of a scarey moment about half way through when it started to chine walk.

87' I take it thats pre bullet boxes so really difficult to achieve a big rooster like that

Not really, it's only on the river innit, so you back off and it all gets better.

not sure when the CLE case arrived, but i think the 2.4 efi's were available then with it, but people ran motors every bit a high back then, they just used remote water pickups.

this was a stock 2.4 200 (about 30 mins old! )

Cus i was thinking without the low water pick up's of the bullet box the engine would have to be a lot lower in the water, hence you would have to trim out a lot further thus making the boat a lot harder to control.
