converting cubic inch to CC

the conversion factor is 16.387064

ie one cubic inch equals 16.387064 cc's

Just so you have the right conversion factor should you ever need it

So subtle in fact, that I don't get it.

I've used 16.38 as a conversion factor for as long as I can remember messing about with Yank V8s, which is about 25 years.

I'm affraid you'll have to explain, bit eyebrow for me.

I nearly typed that line myself, but to be honest, 16.38, 16.39, or 16.387064, it don't really matter a shit does it, the scrutineers can't count that high anyway.

For scrutineers measuring bore and stroke with a tape measure, the conversion factor aint gonna matter a snitch anyway.
