I'm not sure if any 3C boat are going from the UK. Bob is out there with two boats to race in French Championship races, but as Rynair canceled the flights today due to Air Traffic Control strike in France,we are trying to get another way to get out there but its not proving easy.possibly fly to Italy and then Ferry across to Corsica .Jeremy driving the old boat.Nic

Hi Adrian - it is a new version of my old (one-off) batboat, as originally raced by myself, then Bob Lewthwaite and then the Nurses.

She had many up-dates over the years and the guys in Malta and improved the hull finish - but she is still a rough water boat and it is all calm in Corsica at the moment. The boat is also racing with an E-Tec 200 against the XS200 Merc competition so at an engine disadvanatge.

The new 3B Batboat design is coming togther very well and looks very different.

From the website

"The second sleeve round which was planned this morning at 11:00 am was put back this after noon at 3:00 pm, because of a whimsical weather report which nails crews on the ground. Everybody takes his evil in patience."

Not sure if this is good or bad.

Last race should start at 14.30 today, the race. aprrox. 70NM+

Yesterday two boats hit each other, causing some damage, boat C-47 and C-16, these boats are currently on 1st and 2nd place.... apparanetly a cat fight onshore afterwards.
The norwegian driver in the bat boat has had some issues and have not performed well, Wrenkler is chasing a place on the podium, and Marcus johnsson has had problems in the first and 2nd race.

Will be interesting to see the outcome of todays race.
The course is more like a circuit race, so not too much of a challenge for the navigators.
