cost to run

anyone have any idea what would cost less to run (or consumption figures)out of an old xr2 style outboard or a small block 5.7v8 in similar size and weight boats...

Ive had an xr2 and a 5.7 chevy powered boat and I reckon there's very little differance in fuel consumption, about 20 ish gph at wot.
