Crusader Boats

Always liked these, although i can't imagine there's much of a market for the tandem deck model.

My old man used to have red and white crusader 19 with an 85 yammy and a chopper prop. Ir was a really nice boat. very stable unlike my ring 18 which tends to chine unless its trimmed out.

Ive got some pics of his crusader somewhere so ill dig them out and stick em on .

It was unfortunately stolen in about 1993 from outsid our house in stubbington.

I was only 15 at the time and compltely gutted! we never saw hide nor hair of it since.

I always liked those boats. I went out in one with Roger Allen from Yarmouth (British Buzzard) and a couple of mates for the second half of the Needles Trophy race back in 78 I think it was. Great ride. Graham has a great shot of Fibre Tiger on the multimedia page. Here's mine:

Well, we've helped a little in preserving some history that's for sure. There are more folks out there with lots more. An old mate of mine from Cowes who shared my passion when I was younger used to take lots of pictures. Come on Alan, Where are your photo's??!! (Adam - tell him to pull his finger out!!)

Will try John Ives as well - he looks in on Boatmad but has not registered yet!

Hi,
I am owning a 28' catamaran. The guy who sold me the hull told me it was a crusader cat. Has anyone heard something about my boat and could give me some information. I still have not rigged the hull so I am interested in performance weight and everything.
thx
Andree

Have not heard of a Crusader cat - and pretty sure it is not the same company as the Crusader monohulls - have you any pictures you could post on Boatmad?

Here are front and back of boat. It has a stepped hull and came equipped with 7.4 and alpha. Withn this combo it has to be a 1988 or 87 I think.

Did that boat come from the UK?

I remember a boat very much like that being for sale for ages at Gibbs marine in Shepperton.

It also had a 7.4 Mercruiser.
