K, it's a Crusader 19 hull with a Phantom deck, had it custom built and was layed up for strength so it's quite a heavy boat...It's lovely through the rough though.

I think my uncle just preferred the look of the Phantom deck...don't know what model but shoould speak to him over the next couple of days and try and find out who built it....
Must have been a custom deck...don't think they made a Phantom 19 did they?

when i was researching what boat to have, the new wners of the crusader moulds sent me some details on the 19 (as the 21 tooling is fecked). That boat (the green one) came up for sale at the same time. They're identical.
i think the green one had a 2.4 when me JBD & Burtrude see it ay cowes last august

Hi, just got details on "Judders".
It isn't a Phantom deck (sorry, my mistake) it's known as a Crusader Sport Deck and is a Mike Kitcher Design.
It was built by Ian Power at Buzzard Marine in Yarmouth.
Any more queries then feel free to ask,
Maxim

Haven't got any recent info on either Buzzard or the whereabouts of the moulds.
Going back to model boats - Would it work if...... I were to shape a hull and deck "plug" from foam and then vacuum form plastic around these, ready for any inside work on strengthening/motor mounts??

Sorry, no, I don't have any experience with vacuum forming. would think it would be easier tomake a plug and take a grp mould off it.

Reckon you'd want to make a mould so the outside of the hull had all the detail.
Or you could vacuum form a mold from the plug to make a glass hull
But yeah, reckon it could work.

can be a bugger on small intricate mouldings but if you use the right materials in the right places its fairly straight forward, if you are interested i will put a thread together giving the basics of how to go about it.

Cheers, that'd be great mate
I'd like it to be about 130cm long so it isn't too small!!
Cheers again, Maxim
