Somebody of importance must have been reading this forum.........

Didnt somebody a few weeks ago question why a person who is on par with the Damon Hills of the Formula 1 world, with respect to world wins for the country appear so insignificant in the world of sport.

Well done Mr Curtis.

We once bundled his girlfriend (who was extermely hot with blonde hair) into the back of a transit van for a bit of a party at the World Class 1 championships in Guernsey in about '89, '90!

The good old days Racing OCR with Derek Basham

Could this now be considered a claim to fame!

Congratulations Steve!

I'm hoping for an MBE also but in my case it's 'Member of the Bubba Empire'.

I agree with the above, Steve is a legend as far as I am concerned. 7 times world champion and at last he has got the recognition he deserves. The man appears to have no fear when racing and on top of that he has no side whatsoever and is always ready to offer help and advice to anyone in the sport. Congrats Steve.

Ditto the above. I´ve only met him a couple of times but he´s always had time to talk. His feet are firmly on the ground. What a nice chap!!!

Hold on, hold on!!!..

..This is starting to sound like the 'Ribsters' forum!! We'll have the Jackarses' poping up & name-dropping next, endless cut 'n' pasted disaster stories from the mca site, and 10 sickly 'happy birthday' wishes a day plastered with ghastly smilies!

Can't someone slag him off a bit?

Only Kiddin

Well done nobba.
