Drivers Powerboat Club
Is there any chance the new Drivers Powerboat Club could replace UKOBA which appears to be on its knees. Unlike UKOBA, Drivers has a base and facilities for its members. Those with long memories will recall the halcyon days of UKOBA with 30-40 Class 3 and Cruisers fulfilling a full programme of events and the UKOBA Ball was always a sell out affair with upwards of 300 people having a ball. I'm sure if someone with drive and iniative could resurrect those days and we could see 20 Class 3-C boats on the start line. Why not involve OCR as well as their great days are behind them and six or seven cruisers would be welcome....where are the Webby's of the world nowadays.

Those old folk, like Webby and Tony Davis have all retired, and in the case of those two ex Cruiser Class racers, they've now both received their telegrams from the Queen.
When last interviewed, Tony Davis was quoted as saying "I'm a teapot".

Top idea!!, I was new to ocr last year and it was so depressing to see how much its shrunk since I used to sit and watch it in my early teens.
Cant wait for next season but would be awesome to see the sport regain the popularity it deserves!
