Dyno.

Does anyone in the uk have a dyno and the ability to tune a 1000hp inboard engine ? And is there a supplier of pro chargers over here ?

Try Hendy power at Cosham near portsmouth (023 9232 2900) i got them to dyno one of of Simon Fletchers Seatek's,that was 1050hp and they handled it no problem,as far as tuning it i would get Bruce or John from Express engines in Florida over, better to pay for a flight and a days wages and get someone who tunes engines of this power every week than to risk it with someone who 'thinks' they can do the job for you.

We usually had Bruce or John over each time The Reefer or Thunderbird raced. Seemed to be (and was) cheap insurance.

Is Express building that 509 for you Gordon?

Yeah, having seen their attention to detail and how all machining, crankshaft balancing etc is done in house i know i couldnt even get close to their build quality if i built it myself.this also means that they will also get more hp than me!! I will be seeing Bruce & John on Monday and will tell them you said hi,my motor is only going to be around 550hp if i had a motor and the investment in it to produce 1000hp i would get them over no question.
