What are P23's like? Don't hear of many of them really, were there only a few made? How do they compare to other phantoms?

Hi there,
i think they got done especially for Gib , what i heard not to quick with 200HP which is the biggest we can go down here , but i few had a bigger engine on ,and they said its better than P25 on the rough ,it was quick and went over the waves like a knife , i never had the chance to drive one, they were only a few down here,

Took a bit of commitment to drive as there wasn't a great deal of "ohhherr" lift in the bow but pretty ok most were side by side , Peter Armstrong run a Tandem one with a johnny 235 then twinned it the following year. Got the nose wet quite a bit and latter addition had some anti-dive fins on them but that was mostly on the 26's
Steve Baker, Alistair Kendon & Ian Bernie had good successful drives in them

There were more than three or four in circulation, sure JF could find out the total number, after I posted I thought of the Blue one was it “Uniflow” Roger Clarke – 2* 175 with a diddy 65 Merc in the middle to use the full cc class limit. No doubt think of some more as the sponge starts to focus

Also the inboard powered 23's

Don't think Ian Birnie ever raced one - he was later with a 25?
