I think you will find Jackie run in OZ class which was unlimited in cubic capacity and in order to get it to get up and going he had a foot operated clutch, I saw him run at Bristol docks and the performance was impressive and the boat looked stunning.

Incidently I am not the Bill Brown refered to in the earlier posts, as I remember he worked for Cosworth but only used the two litre engine ( not very successfull ).

I think Jackie is also Craig Wilson's grandad.

I know this isn't quite an F1 engine in a boat, but it is pretty near. And quite interesting
