Fast diesel boat

What kind of boat should I be looking for if I wanted a fast diesel boat?

I know I posted before about the phantom... but this time, I have pretty much decided I will sell my rib and add some more to it to get a boat.

Ideally i'd like a cabin/cuddy..

What kind of price would I be looking for a diesel boat that does 50mph+ with a cabin... and what make boat?

Sorry to be so vague

Think there are some new diesel motors now worth looking at, Yanmar and BMW ..

Only 2 I know is my Bro in Laws old old 2, Malestrum and Redmist, both really cool boats, but prob not for sale!

Cabins are good size too ... really economical. Used to run Poole to IOW for a tenner !!

If you can wait until your retired, TD could make you one !!
Also, the 24 could be worth a look ...
Not sure if TD ever put a diesel in anything other than a 26?

In business you have 3 types of job
Good
Quick
Cheap
You can have any 2 out of 3, but never all 3.

I think everyone will agree Tony does a good job, at a very good price. So IMVHO it goes without saying that you should be prepared to accept a bit of "chuckles timekeeping"

You might need to set aside some of your budget for your osteopath though!

How much does Gareth want for Comfortably Numb? Hasn't got a cabin, but it's quick and diesel.

I rather fancied a blast on one of the Pascoes but they were full, so I had to make do with a couple of speedboats instead. You know how it is . . .

Hmm, I wonder if I start a thread about something completely different, if it would end up on boats?

Those, dear boy, are the very latest in non-marking deck shoes, hand knitted by hippies in Totnes.

You may scoff now, but when everyone is clamouring to get a pair, don't forget where you saw them first.

Yes, I do.

I've sussed out why you didn't get any offers from the ribnobba community on Saturday.....

You didn't have the obligetory 'Bowie Knife' gripped firmly 'tween ones teeth'!

In fact, quite the opposite!

You got the 'speedboat rides' coz people thought you were 'out for the day' with your gaurdian, and felt sorry for you!

. . . and I'm really cross that my pallet of Kendal Mint Cake didn't arrive in time either. Can't believe how dangerously ill prepared I was.

A desperate ploy, I admit. Worked OK though!
