I love that boat !

Wondered what had happened to it sice CTC. Anyone know why it is or sale ?

Think there was some speculation that it had cost c. £700,000 to make ?

In contrast, makes Cinzano look cheap.
Cinzano is at least proven, and a winner.

For Sale

Did anyone realise that Martin Lai's Pantera 41' is for sale on Boatshed..?? Full package, including transporter, spare engine, the lot at a reduced price of £180,000. Now that has got to be a bargain for a modern Marathon Class offshore racer.
Now if i had the wonga that would be the boat for me....!!!

There are/ have been lots of marathon boats for sale in the last year or so;
Argentum
Cinzano
Pantera 41
Mike Bontoft's Cigarette
UNO embassy
The Italian Apache.
Cookee's Bananashark Stirling

It's a buyers market I guess ? Think key is a) to have deep pockets !!!!
And b) be able to use it for something other than racing, as those opportunities get less every year.

If you search a bit more for info on this boat I think you will find it's not for you!

Why is that Jon..? i am intrigued.... it read's in the advert that the hull has been reinforced for rough conditions, it did prick my ears (that's racehorse talk for "Let's focus")

Cougar really can make some stunning boats. Always amazes me, as their pr, advertising, website are useless. They really should show off more.

I guess it's the Steve Curtis connection, plus they have a winning history as we all know in racing, along with the pleasure mono's of the past.
