If anyone was wondering how difficult it is to get the powerhead off a 20year old engine take a look at the pictures.

Didn't come off with the sledge. Ended up getting the big angle grinder out and cutting the bottom of the leg off enableing us to lift the powerhead and remaing leg up. Then laid it on its side and using small angle grinder removed the leg up to the engine studs the cut round each stud and removed each in turn.
that then made seperating the head from the tuner adaptor not quite so difficult.
Nothing damaged though cus he was replacing with offshore leg.
Took me and the Boat dude 4hours

In all fairness when I took my 225PM off the old leg it took less than 20 minutes with a little help from Gav!

When all else (WD40) fails you have to resort to extreme measures. Shame really though cus those old mariner 150 legs are worth a fortune these days!!!
