Cool! I need to get some bits too. Will give him a bell.

Does anyone know of a decent UK based stockist of Teleflex steering too? Going to try to order the twin-cable steering kit.

Both Aqua Marine in Southampton and Hypro Marine in Lymington are teleflex stockists, although Hypro tend to specialize in hydraulic as there name suggests.

Thanks all. More people to bell now! I'm bound to find somewhere I can get the kit I need amongst that lot.

gar163y: The twin cable set-up was recommended as a safer version of what I already have without going to the expense of hydraulic. Safer and more precise, that is. Teleflex mention it, but don't have any pictures on their site. I'm still investigating!

I'll update in the 'Pimp My Ring' thread in Technical Q&A.

Cheers again.

I've been trying to get hold of GB Watersports this week and am getting no answer from their phone. Does anyone have any other contact number for them. I've ordered some bits and haven't heard from them since.

Similar to Double ride guide then. I've had single ride guide go on me at full chat. It's not a nice experience!!!! When I raced in '91, you weren't allowed to use single ride guide type steering in case it broke. There is no safety back-up. But you could use cable steering. Again, if a cable breaks you have no safety back up. So surely that should have been banned as well!!!
