There are a lot of aftermarket ones for pretty much everything except the fzr would it not be easier to get one of those then cut & shut the thing to fit.

Where do you get the 25 hrs from? It's hardly taking a mould off a back seat, or have I misunderstood you and you want a copy of the existing seat in fibreglass!

But anyhow, assuming your calculating the labour rate @ £30.00 an hour, what about the cost of materials, overheads such as lighting, rent, rates, payroll, paye etc etc! Probably best to make that £1,250.00 if you can buy one in the States for £750.00.

Leeway could probably make one cheaper, but he'd need an original to splash!

Now whats that saying, "if you have to ask the price you can't afford it".

Yep wanted a mould off back seat!!!. maybe with a bump in the middle...

td you once told me £30 an hour for glassing.... do i then have to pay for your heating, 50p for the meter, rent, lunch, pg tips and materials ontop of that??? bet your invoices are complicated!!

Seems that way doesnt it! Suppose i wrongly believed a pro would be far quicker than me and my cack handed glassing... only took me 10 hours to make these babies ready for painting/triming and it was first time id ever even sniffed resin.. They may be little but the detail had to be exact to fit into windscreen and create perfect symmetry and stereo imaging

Ill get out the stretchy fleece and resin from the shed again... may need a little advice on release agents etc from someone if its not too expensive..... must be i just asked again!!

thanks anyway.... i think

Tony,

I need a new 'orange box' for the V24. It should not take you more than 3 hours, so I'll give ya £100 and you can make £10 profit.

Good deal or what!

Stop it! when people go 'spoiling' the builders like that, they'll think they can have a teners profit from everyone!

They'll be getting 'above their station'.

Screw him down to 80 quid, the fkkr aught to be greatful for a 10 quid loss.

Sorry ,

Tony,
I'll give you £80 for the replacement orangebox. I need it for Sunday, so I'll collect it tomorrow afternoon on my way to Poole.

Ok?

I had a bloke in the workshop the other day, he wanted an 8' scale model of an MTB. He had the line drawings, and it was ok he didn't want any detail just hull and basic deck mouldings, how much well thats sort out what to build from the drawings, build a plug make a mold make and join hull and deck complete with access hatch. So thats atleast 4 moulds. I quoted max £2000 as I was going to get a hull to play with. He said some one had told him that I would do it for £400 I giggled he left. What hope do we have?
