the tapping from the exhaust manifold is to give a little pressure to the fuel tank to assist delivery to the carb.

there's one more pipe to go on, from the water jacket outlet, to overboard dump, you can see the tail in pic #1

the scoop on the drive picks up the water, sends it to the cylinder water jacket (main cooling jacket), from there it's dumped overboard. It's that dump pipe which is still to be fitted.

the fitting on the exhaust, is connected directly to the fuel tank, and once the baffle is in place in the end of the exhaust, the back pressure within the manifold, will pass along the wee pipe, and 'puff' into the fuel tank and help the fuel on it's way.

Mine didn't have one either, bought the 4mm nipple today, and poped it in.It originaly had the tapping off the silencer, which i'm not fitting.

If you plan to get over about 7am, we might see you in time to play boats.
