Hello i am new

Hi everyone firstly i am new so please be gentle with me.
I was at lake Havasu in march where all this boat stuff started i guess. My wife and i hired a 25ft Eliminator for the day and went from one end of the lake to the other. After that i was hooked, but never really thought i would have a boat. You see i have always been into bikes and building streetfighters.
On return from vegas i jumped on my gsxr fighter and went for a ride through the country. I was taking things easy as i had not long finished this build and wanted to make sure all was well. The bike performed well and i was pleased with it. I came around a bend near a cemetary and was about to nail it into the straight, that was when it all went a bit wrong, a deer decided to cross the road right in front of me. Bang crash dead deer wrecked bike Steve on crutche's.
So thats when it began really, I thought at 41yrs old you gotta stop this shit dude sell ya bike and buy a boat.
Two months later the bikes gone and Steve's got an 18ft Phantom.
When i bought it it had a 70hp yamaha on the back, which was good and pulled a tube but after a while i just needed to go faster. The yamaha fetched £1200 on ebay and i bought a 150 johnson, its an old un but the guy says a good un. He told me i would need a prop with a different pitch. I mailed a couple of guys selling Phantoms on ebay and one recomended this site. After reading through the forum about all the technical stuff i am begining to think OH MY GOD what have i done. The johnson was only bought yesterday and is sat in my garage. Someone tell me its going to be ok please.
