Steer against it with jabs as you exit, set the boat up better, offset the motor?

No need to offset the motor, engine height and change to an easier prop to drive like a Laser? They will land on the left trimmed in, and it takes quite a bit of seat time to get them to fly truly level.

It flys fine in calmish seas as I can steer into fine but in very rough seas(morecambe bay)even going slow it just twists off waves)talons back on the water nxt week so il try that.
That was a joke!

26 chopper in the rough is a waste of time it's all about the right prop,
just out of interest how fast are you running in the flat with that prop (gps) ?
i asume your motor is a 280,
derek.

hi
we ran a 26 suzuki prop in the rough(73mph with195hp xr2) and raker 24 in the flat (80mph)you have to get both re-bushed, i would guess 80 and high 80's with 280 hp having said that a thinned 23 lazer was on the boat 80% of the time.hope this helps.
derek.

large hub with thinned blade's, it would do 76 gps and should do 80 + easily with a 280. i have a 280 on my boat now and when it get's flat enough to try it i will let you know (if ever) i may take it up to coniston but not sure yet.
derek....

Always remember a race in Falmouth when we changed our gearbox (1.87) and tried a 2:1 box.....had just this effect. I also think that this was the only race we ever retired from in The Baltic Exchange boat (18 phantom / xr2) and the only time we tried the 2:1 gearbox :-)

Very true Dereck, experience is a significant factor....and with regards the crashes, if you are always trying to find the limit then occasionally you will go past that point :-)
