Hydraulic steering

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a good steering set up for a pair of V6 Yams on a Cougar cat.
Would the steering tube rams be ok if I make up some tie bars as the boat is 8ft wide!
Would it be better with external rams and wing plates on the motors!

Living on the rock we are vat free, if anyone has any info/prices it would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Steve

Steve, I would look around for a side ram setup with wing plates. The seastar type is fine and works well on calm water but in anything above a light chop I find it has too much play.

Twin motors, Id definitely look for a side ram system.

TD sells IMCO, I'd start there.
