Id of this hull?

Bought this hull recently and wondered if anyone here might be able to id it for me? Has non-working Gibson tabs and is 16ft 2in -ish long, with max beam at 5ft 9in (about 5ft 2in -ish wide at transom). The motor that was on it recently stage was a '72 Johnnyrude IL3 65hp hydro-electric shift.

One of our members said it might be a Sharp 16 (he bought the 1st 19.., but any help would be appreciated, particularly as to max hp rating.

It doesn't have the typical chines & deadrise of the Sorcerer, or any of the Scorpio boats of that period. Took some more pics below:-
