Is Ghost Rider coming to Cowes this year?
I have heard a rumor that Ghost Rider may be coming over for the 40th anniversary of it's win at Cowes.
We were hoping to have it here for the NYC poker run next weekend, but if it goes over, we can certainly understand and wish all parties invloved the best of luck.
Barry Cohen has preserved a great bit of history and deserves a ot of credit for paying the storage bill on this boat for many many years.
By the way what is the date for Cowes this year? Perhaps I could find a good reason to come over too.

Here is a shot of the cockpit.....no bolsters and the driver throttled too.....The little blue gauge was the speedometer.
The boat was capable of 86 plus MPH for short bursts with twin Daytona turbocharged engines. Jim Wynne would use the speed to get out in front and then back off and race most of the time in the high 60 MPH range.

It's a shame that he, and Walt Walters didn't get the credit for the design of the cary/cigarette that they should have!
Mind you, he got the credit for inventing the stern drive which he shouldn't have, so I suppose it all evens out in the end.
