Johnson 225 ? Ring 21

Hello all I've just got my self a ring 21 with a Johnson 225 v6 vro on the back. Does anyone on here have Any knowledge on theses engines ? What goes wrong on them etc and wether they are a good reliable motor. Cheers lewis

If this is a early 90's motor (please check) then I had the V4 Evinrude version.
In summary : old style reliable carbed motors that drink a little and sound great.

Some have the VRO system removed and mix oil manually in the fuel tank.
Someone on here with V6 experience can tell ya more.
