Hi;
have not been on boatmad for a while. saw this post and thought that I would respond.
1) I have never stated that i have V24 championships ( and would never do so what would I gain?) and to my knowledge there has been nothing in print . If there has then please forward them to me so that i can have these rectified.
2) I have not spoken to anyone in the racing fraternity for at least 3 years. So I am a bit bemused at this. Please inform me who these people are so that I can confirm what is being said.
3) if you check the UIM website you will see that i do have 3 world speed records. First they were set in 2000 and increased in 2001 and as yet have been unbroken. Please attempt them.
The picture in our brochure is lance racing my old boat. I asked if i could use it since it was more dramatic than the picture I had of my old boat . I will rectify this picture since it is on the face of it misleading.
I also have no association with Morgan boats?????.
KPM-marine now work in the grey and orange markets on a global basis, we no longer supply the race market even though we get asked all the time including America.
A story or lesson;
5 years ago I was talking to some one at a show, and somehow the conversation turned to a person called Jules Morgan!!!. I learnt that jules was a designer, etc some good/ some bad points etc. I also learnt that Jules had dealt his mate a wrong one????. As it happened i had never heard of his mate.
After he had finished , I introduced my self and thanked him for telling me about a whole pile of stuff that i did not know about myself. I then pulled out my check book and offered to write a check for the amount owed if he could confirm the balance with his mate on the phone. The poor guy did not know where to put his face.
It happens.
