If it's really Lady Aitkins P28, that is the original red/white 'BRUT' round britain boat. We were under the impression that the P28 that 'Sterling' has for sale was this boat, so we don't really know for sure.

The original was sold toLady Aitkin, who raced it as 'Slueth', the rumour was that it was sold to someone in Scotland.

'BRUT' was indeed damaged, at least once, possibly twice. Steve loaned the deck mould to someone (possibly Cougar)who did one of the repairs.

I don't really know.
I have some pictures somewhere, that TD took, showing damage to the screen & deck, that looks like collision damage of some sort, whether it happened on the water, or in a RTA I don't know.

I was led to believe it was also dropped by a crane driver at Hamble point marina (possibly when it was the Cougar yard) but don't know any details. PJC on this forum would know about it if it's true.

Just for the records the orignal brut red white boat which was badly damged to passenger side and deck is in bordeoux france..
Boat repaired but damge still noticable a frame has been fitted through out the boat to strengthen. She was fitted with 3 200hp mercs.

That's interesting. Like Jon, I thought Sterling's friends one was most likely brut, and I'd speculated the french one could have been ocl suzuki, since the owners claimed it was lady aitkens one. Both were around at the same time and both did round britain - so would have been easy to confuse.
"I think"....

What this one!
The Advert was taken from September 1984 issue of Motor Boat and Yachting.

I meant to quote the reply referring to OCL Suzuki.

It's obviously BRUT then, I believe that was invloved in a RTA, and also dropped by a crane. not a lucky boat!

No its rather nice every thing is dated ie gauges etc but its ok a thru and thru race boat.. The seller said he won 2004 french chapionship in her bloke called max? He could never prove it though...

Was worried if she would always land heavy on port side with all that filler though. Engines look nice but have standard xl legs which were stupid..

Its to much money for what it is!

And, hearing how it's lashed together, probably isn't worth that.
