that looks very much like one of the early 16's. SCM had both moulds i think the models were 16B (15ft boat, gonna be used by honda) 16C (nearly 17ft, later called marina corsican).
I think your right captain, I think I know this boat -was one of the 15's ex-honda, was fitted with a Mariner 40, then a Jonnyrude 60 and used around my area. Its too small anyway.
Hopefully it isn't the one that was exhibited at London, coz the glasswork was truly shocking! Always worrying if you can't get a show boat right, what chance for a normal build.
that looks exactly the same as my ring 16' ( or 15.10' to be exact) only 3 were made by cougar marine. one which i got, another from my frind and the last 1 was their demo boat which got batterd by a bloke from a magazine company. the one which had the johnson on was the one that was used for tha magazine. the other 2 both had mariner 60 bigfoots on.
