That looks similar to one of the hulls that raced in P1 with inboard diesels? Italian?

From a 'gut feeling' point of view, looks like a recipe for swapping ends.

From the website: ( http://www.albatroboatlines.com/)
Albatro is an Italian builder renowned for fast performing rigid inflatable boats, gommoni, and other hulls. The company located in the Northern tip of Italy has been known since the eighties for its fast competitive hulls, which also gave it a second place in the 2006 P1 championship.
As P1 was known for their short laps it must go round corners ok I suppose.

Assuming the P1 hull was the same as 'that' one.
