taz you tried your 22 chopper yet? i tried one the other day, acceleration is amazing,my co driver used to race motor bikes and he reckons take off is quicker than a bike. you are right about the engines they keep on pulling till you hit the limiter.

Na its not bad just comparing da laser to the chopper it feels like turbo lag you ave to wait for da bite. i could plain at 55mph at 5k with da 25 laser.
its all good theres just loads of moorings round eere and da laser was a good all rounder

Hate to put a dampener on your speed record, but on Conniston you can only go for world or national records, no performance boats allowed.

That's a bugger!
I do remember hearing something about the bylaws about the speed limit being firm except for world records.

Will be interesting to see if they run an enduro race. The Windermere course tended to have a few holes in it - if Coniston is slightly smoother - could be worth the 3C boys going up and having a crack.
Existing records are 1 hour 65,735 mph 2 hour 65,25 3 hour 63,057

These may not play too well first time round, but once cashed, will play ok.
