Just spoken to Malc:- His powersteering didn't work for the first 15 laps and he then he had an issue with the mirrors dropping. He's absolutely over the moon with his debut in the premier class and I think he's opened a few eyes on the world stage as to what he is actually capable of.
His closing comment ' I'm absolutely sh****d'
Roll on tomorrow!!

Malcolm did a sterling job yesterday, and dave burgess deserves some credit as he persuaded Andy Elliot to allow Malcolm to drive the boat, as he felt he had great potential. I have to admit that Malcolm listened and his approach was very profesional for his first race. Today the conditions are pretty rough and I believe he is in good shape to surprise a few people again.
Best of luck.
Jonathan Jones.

He didn't have a brilliant start but had worked his way up to 10th place when he got a drive through penalty for hitting a turn buoy. When he resumed the power steering developed an intermittent fault which eventually caused his retirement. They've got a week now to get everything sorted for the next round.

What a shame, would have been great to see what he could of done in the rough conditions.
We were all huddled around the computer screen, which froze several times, wish it was on TV, our sport deserves it when you see racing like that.
