Merc 260 revs

Hi , what revs should i be doing with a Merc 260 offshore , what`s the max i should do to keep it safe without going over ?

260hp @ 7500

Limiter is set at 7750rpm

Its according to the ECU /chip your running in your motor . Some are unlimited in RPMS . Most F-1 motors will last a session at 8450 ( their set rev limit ) I have modified Drag motor that "will" turn 11,300 Rpms in a 10 second pass but that wouldn't last for long ..

look for the serial number on the back of the ecu
standard rev limits are consumer 7750, race offshore 8250 or drag 11500rpm
