Mercury 2.4 Horse Power?

so we know an xr2 is 200hp

and the old 2.5 is 260hp and the new 2.5's are 280hp

but how many horse power is a 2.4?

Yeah, I'd say 230-240. Not too sure about xr2's being 200 though, from what i've been told early ones were 150, running up to about 195 tops for the latest ones, apparently they vary a lot though!

Andy - yeah I'm really scared mate. As scared as you are of helping out on race weekends.

The early XR2's (that look quite different to mine) were 150hp and then the ones built from 95 ish onwards are 200hp

I think someone in guernsey needs to buy a dyno! Larby as a marine trader, you might be able to make a bit of money if you had one and dyno'd everyones boats as I don't think anyone over here has one at the mo..

thats not a bad idea i think there must be loads of people who would pay to use a dyno on guernsey

I'm looking into it... Depends on how many of us would want to use it and what would be deemed as an acceptable price.

There was one over here recently but it got sold off the island before i found out unfortunately. I can just imagine a rolling road shootout for boats!
