Metal framed bucket seats

Are they any good for boats, or do they not last. Getting some shocking prices for 4 new bucket seats, I could probably buy some car ones and re-trim cheaper.

It's the re trim that will cost the money, and then you'll get lovely rust marks on your new fabric.

Out of interest, what do you consider to be a shocking price?

I did wonder about fatigue and rust of the metal. Some prices were 600-800 per bucket seat. I have had a couple more reasonable quotes, all for same seat!
