miami vice

check out the new miami vice, if you havent already!?

the boats are amazing!

the first two look like donzi/scarab, couldnt see any markings with four 250 merc o/bs!!!

then there is the big big cat-what make? then the two huge Donzi's at the end- what size where they??

the film its self i think is a grown up version of Bad Boys. not the best acting from those two!?

what you all think??

I heard the scene was cut from the cinema release - probably crop up in a directors cut version in a few years.

Hopefully going to see it today (if can persuade amanda to travel the huge distance of 15miles) Hope it lives up to expectation and the trailer looks awesome.

Re: miami vice

I think Mojo, the cat is an MTI. The film's not brilliant but seeing that boat go made it worth while

Having listened to the pulic view of movie's for a loooooooong time, most people coming in say.....not bad, I would therefore assume it has a fair amount of action and a thin plot, some have moked the tash and mullet, me included, actualy I fell about laughing when I first heard Collin Farell lead with t & m, that's like making a James Bond a bald American......ang on that's XXX with that big bald fella

I heard a lot of people over in the US are somewhat dismayed to discover that all the time and effort they put into running the boats for the racing sequence was in the end more or less binned. Rumours suggest that the cut footage will be included in the DVD once it's released.

Saw it last night, well we are a bit slow down here in Sussex. took the missus and she enjoyed it too thank God. Loved the big boats but most of the shots of the boats running were at night so very difficult to see exactly what they were. Guessed they were Donzi's as said here previously but they sure sounded good. It's really a boy's own film with sex, guns and boats, suits me. How could they blow up two boats each fitted with four HUGE merc outboards? What a waste, hope they were only mock ups.

By the way OOD, one of those "Miami Vice" boats as above with a couple of 496 HO Mercs will go faster than "Follett" and would look the business!!

Finally nipped away to see Miami Vice today.

Pleased to say its better than the first series, though i probably wont bother working my way through the first series now.

Only major dissapointment is why they sent a boy to do a mans job! Boy they chose the wrong chump to play Sonny Crockett.

He would have been better cast in "Babyface Finnlayson"

Good film, shall buy the DVD when its out.
