Missing engines: Need to find them!

I am offering a reward of £100 for anyone who can provide me with the current location of Mike Van Huisteen, and my two 300 promax outboard engines.

They have been missing for several months, and all attempts to retrieve them have failed.

Mike Van Huisteen is sometimes known as 'Springbok Mick' and is the proprietor of www.springbokmotorsport.com

EDIT: Your info dissappeared, but thanks!

Yip - tried that. The address is old. He has moved.

The phone rings, but does not answer ( ie the one on the website )

FAXES and EMAILS go unanswered - They do not get bounced. They are just ignored!

I was hoping someone knew where he moved to, or was able to contact him via some other method.

yes.

Also missing - but less important at this exact time is £4500 I paid for the engines to be rebuilt. That is just money and I can get that back via the courts, What is an issue is a boat that can not be used, as it is missing propulsion, Ditto the potential sale for the same reason....

If you can find out what car he drives, DVLA will give out personal information for £2.50 including current address of the owner, but a registration would help, photo of him competing on the internet maybe?

Just had to do this, and there is now a middle aged woman in Sheffield explaining to her husband why she ran into the back of my trailer on the M1, then drove off failing to stop, my choice of words isn't printable. My letter to the husband was quite clear and a cheque subsequently arrived to replace the lighting board. Dread to think how much a pair of Promaxes are however, good luck

Pete

Is the address Pete given the "old" address? Have you visited him there or elsewhere?

Could always try the admin contact e mail as opposed to the one on the web site:
hostmaster@springbokmotorsport.com
Hope you can get it sorted soon.
To be honest I'm pretty crap at updating my Domain info when it changes but from what I see it runs out in the next month or so. Keep an eye on it to see if & when its renewed & the details.

Unfortunately there is a definate relictance by website owners in general to allow bad reports on their websites. The net result is that people who are bent get away with it.

There are loads of people who tell me now that he is bent, including selling stolen equipment! But nothing exists if you are innocently coinsidering getting him to do work!

He ran like a wheeeeee gurlie when he saw me. It was funny in retrospect, but damn - I would have parked the car accross his drive if I thought for a minute he would run.

I expected and argument or a fight at least.

But to run away! Sheeesh!

Still - this does clarify things. It is definately not a misunderstanding or a lack of clear communication or something that needed discussing. The flight of the Springbok Mick at the sight of me sortof shows that he has something to hide!

At least we know he is alive, in the UK and still working & living in Birmingham!

I often wonder what goes through these peoples heads, why or how they think that they will get away with actions like this.
Things like this even happen down here in NZ
