My God - Tazs Boat Shifts
Had the pleasure of driving Tazs P20 with his 260EFI on it today compared to my XR2 its like a Jet fighter. Christ I have driven a lot of boats but have never felt such power strapped onto the back of a boat, manged to keep it flat out for about 2mins. Sh*t i have never had to hold a thing in the water that much just to keep it going in a stright line. On de-acceration (just taking my foot slight off the throttle) I had to put my arm out to stop the yank passengers head slamming into the dash. That things got sooooooooo much power!!!!!!
Should have brought an EFI rather than an XR2 - its as imagine an an f1 car to be.
Would one consider a P20 with that engine on to be over-powered?
Big respect to you Taz - he wouldnt drive it flat out!

Bow tank was full two people in the boat and about 1- 2 feet of swell on the sea. Yes a little bit - but the throttle is so sensative the boat snakes like a rear wheel drive car when you put the power on and off. Reminded me of driving an s2000 in the wet sideways!
Some body posted about driving on through which i did and the boat does stable out a bit but the slightest wave or too fast a change of power on the throttle (up or down) can throw it out of control. Trying to keep the throttle that steady when wave jumping is somewhat difficult!
Amazing though!

Powerhead swap
Johnny, I would be up for it- cash either way if necessary. In fairness I know nothing about mu powerhead, having just brought the thing but you are welcome to hear it on a hose. Where are you, I'm just down the road from the great Extreme Factory in Ringwood, (Hampshire).

Dude, I wasn't after your engine as I allready have a 2.5EFI and I dont have an XR2 to swap anyway. I was meerly pointing Silversurfer, who does have an XR2, in the direction of your post.

Hmm maybe interested my engine (powerhead) is brand new though just run in had to have a new one from Ocean Racing its done 10 hours now and is about to have its running in Jets swapped out, after its 10 hour service. Have you run your EFI on a boat yet?
Only concern is swapping a new engine for a problem if you get my drift.
