New around here!
Hi Guys,
Just joined so thought I'd say hi!
Just managed to get myself a Phantom 21 built 97. Seems to be in fantastic condition in all white.
Needs a retrim though and some other bits done to get it up to scratch. Having met Driver510 a week or so ago I've seen the quality of his work which is top notch!! So will be asking him to look at sorting my one out over the winter.
Would also be interested in changing the engine so if anyone knows of a Merc Optimax 225-250 or Evinrude e-tec 225-250 going cheap! let me know.
I look foward to meeting up with some of you next year in the solent for some serious cruising.
All the best
Chris.

Welcome to Boatmad.
Does it have grey trim & a Mariner 225? And a carbon dash?

was tidy from what i remember, Jon's Nephew bought it from channel islands prob bout 6 years ago. I wouldn't be putting a 250Ho or a like on it though dude and you will suffer badly with handling issues as they need to spin a big prop the beam of a P21 ain't wide enough for them

Fair enough, open to suggestions and finding the right engine at the right price could be time consuming anyway. Happy to run with the mariner for the time being just fancied something newer. It's 97 and untill I get Driver510 (are we allowed to mention peoples real names?!!?) to check it over I'm not really sure wot condition it's in.
Cheers for the advice, it's always welcome!!!

Yeh, I really liked Pauls 21. It did n'arf go well (when he learned to adjust the throttle cable properly).
not forgetting some expert driving on the day: http://boatmad.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=27112

Superb, thanks for that!!!
It's nice to get some positive feedback.
I'm slightly struggling to believe I'm watching a vid of a secondhand boat I've just bought in action, amazing.
I hope I can make it live up to its last owner(s).
Looked like a great day out, hope we can have some of those next year.
