don't think that would work that well, because looking at it, it looks around the same pace as a Honda maybe a little less, not sure on what the ocr's can do though (speed wise)

I,m sure if honda chaps could use and tune their own props they could get around 62/ 63 mark. I have heard some honda chaps are a little upset with how things are going.......... I may be wrong!!!!!

The words 'One Design' mean every boat is mean't to be identical and that's why One Design sailing has generated huge fleets of boats. Owners are not allowed to use devises etc to improved performance, just preparation and skill. Once tuned props become norm, the next thing will be tweaking fuel system etc and within a season your back to cheque book racing.

Agree completely. Although, if the truth's known, the big cheque-books still rule one design, because those that can afford a 'blueprinted' running surface, go quicker / handle better. I won't even go into engines.
Of course, if the bottoms were good to start with, blueprinting wouldn't be any advantage.

Even when the Honda 'One Design' was launched in 1998/9 with only 5 boats, the need to 'bend the rules' was prominent from the word go. The was only 6 rules, the first being that all boats and engines were identical and modifications were not permitted. In the 3rd race of a 5 race series, one team had cut the rear seat moulding and moved the fuel tank to 'balance the boat'. From then onwards a few owners have always tried to gain an advantage so unless there is an 'iron fist' type scrutineer who DQ's everyone caught cheating, it will always be a problem.

I agree geriatric.
Either the scrutineers are not doing their job right or the series are turning a blind eye.
One Design should be just that, and not 20 variations of the 1st Design.

yes would love too !!!
Prop not back from ( NEW) prop revs . Laser 25 too small ( the one you sent to prop revs to get copied) So had to buy 28 mazco its going well but needs a little work. Very interested in basic with Honda at Teignmouth. Sorry I thought Honda chaps could'nt do anything to their props thought that was the idea of one design racing !!! WRONG AGAIN !!!!! But ill ask Colin tomorrow he looks after a couple of em. Might pop over with Dell on Sunday if Deb's lets him out . Best wishes from the HAIR DRYER BRIGADE.
