New Engine......
Hi,
Maybe someone help me with this question?
Is there any alternative to a mercury 200 XS ROS, about 200 hp light Offshore Engine?
Thanx. Cheers. Dirk

Alternative to Mercury or alternative to the 200XS?
Only other alternative in 2 stroke is the Etec 200HO, but theres not much small or light about it.

....that is an other solution, one of my best friends is a etec dealer
but than I need a nose cone for the engine.
And is 150 enough? It is already not very heavy....
For sure I can have a test with the etec... So after that I can decide...
Thanx for your help....dirk

There's a 200hp small block 2.6l E-TEC available, not sure what the weight difference is to the 3.3l 200HO though.

You can get the 2.6 up to 200hp although not as powerful as an XS. Good fuel economy and starts every time
