Is this to run to the same rules as the Swedish 150 class?

Concept seems to work pretty well out there and would make a lot of sense if boats were to the same spec.

I spose when entries are at an all time low, a new class would be a really bright idea!!!

IMHO a replacement for a current class(s) might work, perhaps ditch 2 and 4 litre as it's nigh on impossible to buy a new 200xs, and have a 3 litre class with less reliance on a single engine manufacturer.

3C is now 3 litre! Has been for some time for 'green' engines.

But does not open up things too much as many still over the limit on cc / over 200hp.

Then most boats have been made to run with 15" shafts - so back to Mercury!

Looks like it needs to go back to the type of racing and boats that class 3 was more originally about?

Sounds perfect for a Phantom 19! YOu do realise that the HO will be around 170hp?

Of course that will clash with OCR's A class, but you knew that already right?

They dont need any encouragement from those that should know better !! even if you are already building them a boat !! Trouble is they will be competing against 200hp in Formula 200 anyway !! and I suspect the standard 200's will out perform the 200 etec's that are being proposed.

Actually we aren't building a boat for that class - at least that I know of anyway, or have you been talking to Nick?

And if you read that as encouragement you need to read it again!
