Hey Chris it's getting a bit sad when we have to explain the wind-ups to each other... but I think you mised my reply to you! Oh never mind!

It's getting worse than a Vikki Pollard conversation on "Little Britain"!

For the record Richard there was no argument. Jon made the rules clear...I was clear I couldn't be a 'moderator' on a forum that allowed certain things so the agreed action was taken. I did not protest publicly apart from feeling sad . So the argument may be a figment of your imagination.
Hey may I suggest you find better ways to spend your time than baiting others?

I was using the word argument in the loosest possible way. Perhaps difference of opionion would be more appropriate? I'm not trying to put any particular spin on the events and I'm quite happy to put the subject back in the drawer!

Many thanks Richard.

Here goes then.

Wouldn't it be great if in the 'New Boatmad' we had a Forum that (in addition to the changes signalled by JF)

-is positive and welcoming to women and peeps of other cultures etc.

Missus
But Betty Cook's been dead for 15 years!

And there is no 'new boatmad'! the original one drifted off course a bit, and it just needs a nudge on the tiller, which I'm giving it.

oh...nearly forgot!!!

And in a spirit of adventure which many powerboaters share...if Boatmad could cheer on peeps who push the boundaries a little ...(and I'm back to boating here)...and show a little sympathy and respect when someone's nearly killed ...be it a burn out or a sinking.

Like I said before, don't start me off!

I'm sure boatmads members will be right behind anyone who pushes the bounderies in our given sport!

I wonder how frantic the RIBnet boys (and girls) will be when Mike & Reggie go for the big 170mph in a monohull in three days time.......yeah, thought so!

Given that the two events/emotions you've described above are intertwined, I'll play with your post a little to illustrate my point...

Now bear in mind that I'm not out to score points with arguments here - and we're all tired, so I don't everyone to "get it". That's enough for tonight - certainly fo me anyway.
