Look what *I* found!!!

Early Entry to National Series gains Extra Points !!!
Those crews who enter the National Series before
the cut off date of 31/03/06 will gain an extra 200
points in the National Series, to start their tally! This
will also apply to those teams running the new "Green"
engines says John Puddifoot, RYA Powerboat Racing
Manager.

Where the HELL is this information? It is *not* on the RYA website, it has *not* been sent to me by the RYA.

Interesting that the results for the Cowes race give a different average speed for Roger Severy, than the one I saw at the event.
Says 74mph, and i'm certain it was published as almost 79mph.
Anyone got a copy of the original results?

It is becomming aparent that the RYA are now no longer 'next to useless' they are now completely useless.
What are the possibilities ( previously discussed I think ) of removing them as the UIM representitive and National authority in the UK?

Hate to say it, but by something like ORDA. That is something that actually activly promotes and encorages powerboat racing.
Actually I would settle for something that actually communicated rules and instructions to the people who are forced to be members.
Take the 200 points as an example. There is no mention of it in any information published by the RYA, not is there any mention of it in their website.
Typically I register for a licence *after* the dunk test in the middle of April.
If I had not been a member of this website and picked un third hand information from a race club, I would not have known about this till it was too late - ie after the first race of the season when some of my compeditors suddenly have 200 more points than they should have!

Just looked on the RYA web site, it says that the entry forms have been delayed and that there is an added incentive to return them on or before the 14th April, 2006.
No mention of what the incentive is though.

I got an email from Sheila saying I need to check out the RYA website - that they only refer to an 'incentive' and the
deadline for return is 14 April 2006. She adds that the forms have not been put on the website or sent out yet because clubs are still determining their entry fees!!!! She says the 'incentive' will be announced as soon as the forms are available.
Firstly: It will be the 14th April in two weeks time.
Secondly: There was no notification to us, about the first deadline which is Wednesday - because? The fact it was moved to the 14th April is not a comfort. What else are we not being told about?
