Outboard hosing
My cables and hoses form outboard look awful! They are wrapped with tape and the clamp at one end doesnt hold anything and the funny witches hat is split the other end where the steering hoses also feed into it!
Rex marine bezels for o/b kits look to small to cover my original hole in transom by withches hat but im not sure....
Are there any split hoses that work well and witch hat solutions or anything smarter to use..???
If not how much work would it be (lots of hours?) to dis everything and refit it?? would it be engine end i presume?? within the capabilites of the average DIYer???
I also like the idea of putting the steering hoses thru transom seperate
Thanks

You can buy a rigging kit for an Optimax from Barrus, comes with hose and deck fitting, I'll dig out the part number and get a price for you. It's normally a couple of hours work for a diy'er, unless your Chaos, who would take a lifetime!

Didnt realise the genuine kit was that reasonable - the quote I got from a certain local dealer was a shed load more expensive than that! Still, they (fairweather) wanted £170 for a bottle of merc hi-po oil
Thieving gets!

Go to any good electrical outlet even b&q might have it and ask for 32mm black flexible copex. It also comes in 16mm 20mm and 25mm iv'e used it to tidy up all the control gear on fishing boats and many powerboats its perfect looks very tidy and is very cheap.Dont waste your money on the factory stuff its all the same. You can cut any witches tit to fit any size and just cable tie it inside the engine gowling.
