P1
Anybody see The P1 on Sky this morning, top quality footage. Jackie and Mikes skills in those big seas were a joy to watch.

Thanks Blue Mist!
It was fantastic to drive in those seas, really good fun and some of those 'airborne' moments were amazing looking forward to the next one!

Yep, saw it Mike. A great rough water lesson for them. Also a particularly skillful catch of the Chequered flag while trying desperately not to fall in.
Great footage.

Well I got to see it tonight and wasn't it some race!!!
Very well done Mike and Jackie in those conditions and winners on both days.
UIM Powerboat P1 on making the choice to race or not on day two took Steve Curtis Class 1 World champion now WPPA out in a boat to make the decision. Is this an early sign of sanity between the two partys?
But when the King says no race - no race it is. I bet the crowds enjoyed the time trial though.

'Oh absolutely'
If I heard it once, I heard it.................................times.
A great lack of knowledge of teams and boats. Since when has Kiton been called 'Keeton', and they kept going on about the noise of the engines and promptly talked over it.
Buzzi Bullet, piloted by Drew Langdon with co-pilot Jan Falkowski, costantly called another British boat. The crew never named, no historyy of BB1, the problems about BB2 last year!!! As I said total lack of knowledge about the race and racers.

I watched it last night and was dissapointed by the lack of knowledge of the monotone talkers , you can't really call it commentating, Shelly should have more knowledge than Tiff about racing and all the BRITISH competitors, after all her 2003 V24 co-driver was competing.
P1 Get your act together you put on some GREAT RACING and screw it up with a CRAP COMMENTRY.

Give them credit at least there getting power boat racing back on the TV.
You guys who know about the boats don't need any more info and Jo blogs the public wont know there talking crap.
All that matters is there getting well known faces commentating and that gets the public interested.

That is true Bandit, and it needs all the coverage it can get.
Trouble is it was like watching a Wimbledon tenis final and the comentator not being fully versed with the rules of the game and no idea who the players are.
The guy who did it before might have had a voice that sounded like a bag of nails being dragged through a fog horn, but he sure knew his stuff.
