So if he phoned you and offered it for 5k, you wouldn't 'do a Kinfast'??
I spose if one were cheap enough, you'd buy a Leeway RIB too!

Jon, forgive me if this has already been answered elsewhere on here. I watched the Phantom 31 vid clip the other evening and heard the commentator say that a class 1 Phantom hull was planned for the following year. Any idea what happened to that idea? Did it ever get off the drawing board??

Nige.
No, I just spoke with Steve to make sure I was right, before blurting out on here, and there were no plans at his end to do anything for class one.
It may be that the Baldwins had been talking amongst themselves (and others) about moving up to C1, and getting Steve to do something for them, but it definitely never got onto any drawing board, let alone off it.

The 31 is now 'deckless' and will soon be upside down getting the 'phantom pad' added, stretched by 12" and filled & faired in readiness for the new tooling to be taken from it.
It will end up 31' 7" long and retain the 7' beam.
Then it's onto the new deck!
Another Graham Stevens 'gem'.

Warlord may need a home when we've finished with it.
Now that we've removed the deck, and are building completely new, it would be feasable to refit the original deck on the original hull and return the boat to it's 'race spec', or at least 'race look'.
The thing is, thats a lot of time & effort, and i'm gonna be busy enough as it is.
It would need to go where it would be safe from splashers and not end up on the market.

Jon
Have you thought about getting a magazine to follow your progress with Warlord?
I'm sure SB and R*B would be interested in doing an article and reckon it would make for great reading. Certainly better than the article they are running at the moment on the dateline anyhow
It was great to see the piece this month on Grahams bespoke R25 and the article by Cookee on this seasons racing.
Just an idea anyhow
Al

I was wondering if anyone from here would read that! As the new racing correspondent it would make a good filler for the winter months for my column!
I would be happy to do something on warlord - I'm sure it would be of interest to most people!
