If you find one you're interested in, get the HIN (Hull Identification Number) on the transom (st/bd side) post it here, and we can check if it's legit.

phantom

Will do so!!

I've had a look at one yesterday ...... it only had a 5-digit serial
number on the rear of the boat ,i'm almost shure it's fake.

I'm planning to go to belgium next week to look at one that's supposed to be built in 2000 as one of the latest ones.

It's on Bernico's site (www.bernico.be) and seems to be ginuine
hwere there kevlar one's made?

Yep thats a proper job! Was water ski raced and owned/driven by Brad Cannings in the UK. F2 boat well looked after. Skier was Alan Payne. To my knowledge never had any sort of accident. I suspect though he will want top money for it, the boat has been over there for most of this season as he has bought an F2 Bernico, dont know if Nico bought it or is selling it on behalf of Brad.

Harold,

The five digit number could be legit, Steve baker used three different dating systems through the production from the 70's till 200'ish' when he ended production.

There is a thread on this site for identifying the boats

Click here to look at it

'0C090' doesn't appear to be a number used by Phantom boats UK.

Steve did build boats for a European dealer in Holland, as 'bare boats', ie, no interior trim etc, but they would have still had a Phantom ID number I think, I will ask Steve when I next speak with him.
