i would be interested to know what would be the pros and cons compairing this to an 18,this boat would be ideal for me,small enough to get in my workshop etc but i also have my eyes on an phantom 18 which is not a tandom and is alot older,1981.not really knowing alot about boats in general i would apprciate the advice.does the extra 2ft really make a difference??

i emailed him the other day, and he said thet the boat will need a new spray job, along with all new fittings as it has none seems like a nice little project tho!

It really depends on what power you're intending to put on it, personally, I'd go for the 18 if I had 115hp or more, and the 16 if I had <115hp.

Only my opinion tho'.

would 115hp be a safe maxuim to put on a 16?
im looking at buy the boat first engine to suit veiw.
any other thoughts on this boat would be greatly appriciated jon

I used to look after a 16 with a 150 on a few years back, and have seen a few with 200's, with the 150 it was a lively thing, with the 200 I imagine it would be a handfull.

A wee 115 would be fine i'm sure.

but an 18 with a 150 would be a fine package.
