More progress on Phantom 28. Complete mid sections powder coated, fabricated aluminum transom cap and anodized. Transom re-drilled for engines set at 23'' centers, cut carbon fiber panels for inside the splash well and transom for engines to sit against. One engine now fitted with newly rebuilt sportsmaster gearbox. Latham wingplate and ram fitted to engine, powerhead installed. Will post more updates soon.

Been over the boat today again getting more work done, fitted rear nav light, re-installed capilano helm with custom anodized front mounting plate, and stainless steel pro-trim, boss installed ready for carbon fiber steering wheel to be fitted. Engine rigging hoses and fittings installed to alien cowling base trays and the splash well. Most parts now fitted ready for wiring and rigging. Second power head underway and expected to be installed over the next few weeks.

Boat looking good matey i ran efis on my p28 and she ran mid 70s. The only draw back was the boxes which became a almost weekly change over. small shaft or big the pressure on them use to break even the main shaft. Frequent oil changes and flat water made them last longer. i gave up and bought a pair of optmaxs. Efis sound the nuts. my p20 ran 80mph with 1 260 efi no problems, p28s are heavy it cost me and i learnt the hard way.

Thanks getting there.to be fair your boat was way over pitched 32 cleavers on 2.1 boxes you say mid 70s I have just done prop calculator at 13% slip you would have been running about 6000rpm engines not even in power band the 2.5 260 will rev to 7500rpm if you had run 28 pitch props I think they would have stayed together also the engines would have reved to 7000 rpm + thus making more power it's that simple.Chris Dodge was running a pair of 200xs on his boat with 24 pitch props with no problems
