Hull is a modified Phantom 23 hardboat hull.

And yes, the boats are very well made, and all design/build spec was done by Steve Baker/Neil Holmes, and I understand they are still built to the exact same spec.

Is the one in question red?

Looks like the very one...little pop up nav light on the console & all...there was an elongated nose on the console...red/black.
Dealer was talking of putting a cut-away cushion around the 'foot-well' where the man's standing....and red ropes on the tubes to finish it off...

Hmmmmmmmmmm

Think I'd bet my witch's hat on it...everything seems to be in the same place...remember the well-finished fuel cap thingy as well...
Dials & gadgets as he showed them...remember the dump tank thingy as well...exact position.

Don't know if that's std console but it had a real racing-car nose. Colours look spot on...seats yep

JF that seems to be the one..... again that throttle mounting looks a little stange!!! unless youve got vety long arms!!!

just think an ex demo now 3 years old etc should be more than 3k of the list price??

do you know how many have been built etc ??

Just spoke to Neil, boat has had 225 Honda, then 250 OMC, then 200 Yammy, which explains all the chnges with throttles etc (omc throttles push instead of pulling) and 250 motor was mounted in centre, which explains holes in transom.

25 seems steep when 28 would get you a newan in your own choice of colours etc.
Give Neil a call on 07860 814727, he will tell you anything you need to know about used/ or new Evo's
PS. Unit on console is gear shift only, Evo's have foot throttle as standard.

i think id expect more money off an older boat like jon says 28k for a newen of your choice, my friends gettin one and ive been doing a bit of research into em, i apoligise if anyone knows better but it appears the boats that were at ribex a couple of years ago were a problem to shift as they have been knockin around as new/ex demo boats in the brokerage scene ever since.

why buy one with holes in it when you can get a new one for 3k more, remember if you buy the second hand one the broker man wants his money too which is what ur payin for, red ropes or not!

Just remembered the ropes as an identifying feature...

Almost certain it had no foot throttle too..

If one is paying that kind of money makes sense to go back to the roots...and have a personalised layout...

Went from Lymington to St Malo via Alderney, and then back via Jersey in three days in October 2002 on a RIB cruise (4 boats), one of which was the said Phantom Evo.

Had mixed conditions over three days, with a force 4/5 crossing back across the channel. I spent several hours in the Phantom Evo, and it was (still is) an excellent boat. Very quick, lively and responsive to drive, and very caoable in the rough. The Honda engine felt a little lethargic, and high revs.

Oh and it had a great aluminimum foot throttle, salmon controls for the forward water ballast tank, and a dash mounted joy stick control for the trip enabling adjustment with both hands on the steering wheel. Hope this is useful.

hi to all, i am the owner of the phantom and would confirm the following, the rib is a 2002 and the engine is 200 hpdi vmax new in 2003 with 4 hrs only, this rib reaches over 70mph + and is by far one of the best ribs on the market today, it is for sale at www.ribsforsale.com. to install a foot control is a very simple operation, if anybody wants further info then please email me direct or speak to jonny/jason at ribsforsale.com

Dear Neil, could you please call Neil @ Phantom Evo and enlighten him on your setup, as he (builder/designer of the Evo, and seven times world champ) can only manage 68-69 mph with 225 hp, and clearly needs a little education
