I had a marshan 21 before the half boat I have now and that is dofo a marshan.
I enjoyed the marshan very much and ran best with a prop that had plenty of cupping.

I also had a Marshan 19 purchased new from Terry. 1st shock how fast it was compared to a Ring or Phantom 21, both of which I have run, both were ordinary lay up boats like the Marshan, I put this down to the fact that at 19ft+ it was much lighter. Both 21s made just under 60mph with the very old xr2 162hp with a very standard set up, the Marshan also had the optional cut out at rear, I am positive this made a big difference. oddly when I first set the boat up the engine was up a couple of notches, handing all over the place, so put engine right down, it went arrow straight and cornered on rails and faster... running with my marine mates it did 65-66ish just a fraction faster than there rib with twin 200, it did like to stuff in a following sea though, and it did sound bad running into a sea, did not feal as solid as the 21 but never broke, but like I say smaller and lighter

Don't be ridiculous! They're 'Allspeeds'.
Didn't like the Microns, they had that horrid welded, pretruding seam along the top & bottom.

Agree with all the above too! Mine was quick with an xr2 and i also found they used to stuff easily in a following sea if the nose was not kept up! (basically keep ya foot planted)! My marshan also had the cut out at the back but was alot heavier than my p21 and i just put the extra speed down to the very small beam that marshans have!

I have a new pair of 1979 Avon Roadrunners on my RD400E with allspeeds, not used them yet though too cold.
I much prefer old RD`s to modern bikes.
