It rides like a magic carpet, grips in the corners too, its a stock Yamaha 250 and is set up as a leisure boat does about 60mph if i recall.
Will try and dig some pictures out, good luck with yours,

Alex

I believe your right, think its a long or an extra long shaft which apparently is not the ideal configuration for the boat. Goes all right though, and has lots of space, im sure we have had 6 on it no problem. 60 is plenty fast enough as you say and that was with a stock Yamaha prop.

If you're going to buy a Ring 20. I reckon get a 'D' model (from about 1992 onwards). They're much pretier. Verify its age by looking at the laminated in sheet of A4 under the deck:

R20 150695 denotes the boat was first started 15th june 95 for ex.

or if not worn off, there is a stamp on the stern, last two digits indicate the year made!

I thought Ring had a sheet of A4 laminated into the underside of the deck. Have a look for that.

I've looked... & even when I'm lying on my back; its often hard to see.

Speculation is, they have the number ticker-taped into the transom, but I reckon its all lies!

rumour has it, its an a4 sheet of paper laminated in the foredeck somewhere, try grinding some gelcoat off untill you find it!

or get an x-ray done of the boat?
